For Municipalities
From renaturing urban streams to climate-friendly procurement – we provide actionable guides and support administrations in their ecological transformation.
Practical & participatoryÖkoVision was created to provide concrete tools for protecting our natural resources – from local renaturation to climate-conscious procurement. Our driving force is the conviction that sustainable development does not remain abstract but becomes visible in measurable projects and everyday decisions.
Respect Resources Every intervention in nature leaves traces. We promote cycles that use materials and energy for as long as possible before they return to the cycle.
Strengthen Community Environmental projects only succeed when people support them. That is why we rely on participation, transparent communication, and long-term local partnerships.
Shape Climate Consciously Whether in procurement, urban planning, or renaturation – every decision has a climate account. We help turn this account positive.
Test Innovation New methods such as digital monitoring tools or nature-based building materials make environmental protection more efficient. We test what really works and share the results openly.
Whether a research institution, municipality, or young start-up – we collaborate with organizations that take responsibility for tomorrow. Every partnership is based on concrete projects and shared values.
View all collaborationsJoint development of renaturation guidelines for inner-city waterways. The scientific support of our pilot projects provides reliable data on biodiversity development.
Implementation of three community gardens on former brownfield sites. The focus is on rainwater management, insect promotion, and the involvement of resident groups in maintenance.
Partnership for climate-friendly procurement of office equipment and IT hardware. Together we developed a criteria catalog that takes into account CO₂ footprint and life cycle costs.
Development of workshop modules for schools and communities on the topics of soil, water, and local climate adaptation. So far, over 40 events have been held with around 1,200 participants.
From the initial idea to an established platform for environmental projects – every step was guided by the question of how we can protect resources and promote climate awareness.
Reinhard Fichtinger and Clara Schulz started with a small team in Vienna. Their goal: to create a digital home for local renaturation projects. The initial funding came from a municipal support program for climate innovations.
Together with three municipalities in Lower Austria, we implemented the first stream renaturations. The projects showed that citizen participation and clear ecological criteria bring measurable success – water quality improved by 30% within one year.
After joining an EU-wide network for sustainable development, inquiries came from Germany and Switzerland. We expanded the team to twelve people and developed a standardized assessment system for biodiversity gains.
Our approach was awarded the German Sustainability Prize in the "Digital Solutions" category. Today, we accompany over 40 projects simultaneously – from urban community gardens to the rewetting of moors.
